Cheesy Biscuits

My granddaughter has moved far away, but when I think of these biscuits I remember our baking them together -- trying to get just the right taste for our family.

2 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup milk
1 cup finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Preheat oven to 450 F.

Mix Bisquick, cheese and milk; stir until soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7-9 min.

Combine butter & spices; brush over warm biscuits. Serve immediately.

We've also done these as rolled biscuits by adjusting the Bisquick and flouring the rolling site. Not overcooking is a must, for they can dry out so quickly.

I like them best with soups and with beans.
